By default Windows XP Home and Pro has allot of services running that aren’t needed by most computer users. To take control of what services are running follow the XP Services Guide at Black Viper’s website. By default both XP Home and Pro have allot of eye candy turned on. I don’t need all of that extra stuff running on my PC so I turn it off. Here’s how, Right click My Computer and choose Properties. Now click Advanced and then click Settings under Performance. Choose adjust for best performance and click Apply and then OK. Hope this helps someone.

There is another use for the Wheel on your mouse.
If you hold down CTRL and use the Wheel you can either
in Word: Zoom from 10 – 500 in Intervals of 10
in Excel: Zoom from 10-100 in Intervals of 15
in Outlook: in a Mail Zooms Unknown
IrfanView: Zoom from 64X48 – 6336X4752 in Intervals of 64 (may Very with Pictures)
in IE: Change Text Size from Smallest to Largest
Also in IE, if you hold down Shift and use the mouse it is same as clicking back and forward or Backspace/Alt+Left arrow Key and Alt + Right arrow key

I dont know how many of you have ever tried items like this but they do work! This is a program thats called “free ram xp pro”. It free’s up ram so you can use it when needed. I have a serious ram shortage on my laptop. Xp literally eats all the resources out of your pc whether or not you do anything or not! This is a free program and has helped me a little bit on my pc so I thought it would share! It will post pone me from buying more ram for now.
